An all-court player equally adept at the baseline and at net, Jan-Lennard Struff became the third-oldest first-time ATP champion by winning the title on home soil in Munich in 2024. He reached a career-high No. 21 in June 2023 after making his third tour final in Stuttgart, and later that year made history in Madrid by becoming the first lucky loser to reach an ATP Masters 1000 final. Earlier milestones include his biggest win over No. 2 Medvedev in Halle in 2021 and his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal in Cincinnati in 2020.
