Jessica Bouzas Maneiro comes off of a 2024 campaign that included a third round appearance at both Wimbledon and the US Open. Her first ever Wimbledon victory came over sixth seed Marketa Vondrousova, marking the first time since 1994 that the defending champion was knocked out in the first round. The Spaniard defeated fellow countrywoman Paula Badosa in her WTA 1000 debut in Madrid, and made a second round appearance at the Cincinnati Open. She started 2025 off by making her Australian Open debut and winning her first match in Melbourne.
