Switzerland’s Jil Teichmann reached the third round in her most recent Indian Wells appearance in 2023, defeating fellow countrywoman and World No. 9 Belinda Bencic in the second round. In 2021, she achieved her best ever WTA 1000 run, reaching the final of the Cincinnati Open. Teichmann reached a career-high ranking of No. 21 in 2022, which came shortly after she recorded her career-best Major finish by reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros.
