The all‑time leader for most men’s Grand Slam singles titles in history (24), 38-year-old Novak Djokovic almost made it 25 at this year’s Australian Open. After defeating Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, the Serbian pushed Carlos Alcaraz to four sets in the championship match. A five‑time champion at the BNP Paribas Open, Djokovic holds an Indian Wells tournament record of 20 consecutive wins from 2014 to 2017. Since the inception of the ATP Masters event series in 1990, he is the only player to have won all nine events, achieving the feat twice over. He has 418 match wins at this level and has won 40 ATP Masters 1000 titles overall. He also holds the record for most weeks spent at World No. 1 (428) and for years finished at No. 1 (8). In 2024, Djokovic became the third men’s singles player to ever complete the career Golden Slam after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics. He is the only male player ever to have won all three Grand Slams at least three times and is one of three men’s players to win 100 singles titles in the Open Era (Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer are the others).
