Carlos Alcaraz has created plenty of memorable moments in Tennis Paradise, but Thursday night delivered one of the most unusual.
After defeating Cameron Norrie to reach the semifinals, the Spaniard made his way toward a cluster of fans behind the baseline who had spent the evening buzzing with energy in full bee costumes — a playful nod to the now-famous bee incident from the 2024 tournament.
What to do next? It was a no-brainer for Alcaraz!
“So I had to do it for them,” Alcaraz said with a laugh afterward. “They were cheering since the first point until the last one.”
Photographers captured the moment as Alcaraz slipped into the costume, smiling as the crowd roared.
“It’s funny,” he said. “Especially here in Indian Wells. It was the first time that I saw something like this on a tennis court.”
